Membership in the Virginia Power Boat Association, includes Active, Inactive, Honorary, and Life members. Active membership shall be limited to 225, and each candidate for Active membership must be at least 21 years of age, and be sponsored by two Active or Life members of the Club. A membership shall consist of a single individual or a legally married couple. No person shall be elected an Active member unless they receive the favorable vote of a majority of the Board of Directors, own a boat of at least 14’ in centerline length that meets Club requirements, and attend a new member orientation. Ownership of the boat must be finalized before membership privileges are granted.

There is currently a 8 to 10 year waiting list for non-legacy applicants to join the club.
